Lets's begin with



collective nouns



Collective noun is the name of a number of or collection of persons,animals or things taken together and spoken of as a one whole
look at the following example,




There is a shoal of fish swimming happily in the stream.




A group of students is standing in line with their teacher.






 The farmer owns a flock of sheep.





There is  a brood of chicks swimming in the pond.






The winning  team of players cheering happily.






The jury found the parishioner guilty.




 shoal , group ,flock ,brood and team 
used in the above sentences are collective nouns they refer to a collection taken as a whole





Let's move on to 

Concrete Nouns & Abstract Nouns



Concrete nouns are things that you can experience through your five senses: sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch.

You can see them






You can hear  them





You can taste them



You can touch them





look at the following examples.

She is carrying some books




He is eating a bun


My mother drives a car



 There is a calendar  hanging on the wall.







There is a clock in my room.





On the other hand, abstract nouns refer to ideas and concepts.





Books give us knowledge.






 The taste of the bun is very good.




We have exams this month.





It is time to study.
