Present perfect Passive

Look at the following sentence. It says about how internet helps us

 




Internet search engines have provided quick access to any kind of information for internet users

Now look at this sentence it also says about the effect of internet over people

 

Quick access has been provided to any kind of information for internet users by the internet search engines

 

 

In the first sentence;

 

Internet search engines have provided quick access to any kind of information for internet users.

 

The subject Internet search engines

has done the action

have provided 

 and therefore is the 

doer

  

So in this sentence the doer is important because the sentence speaks about the doer Internet search engines

 Therefore doer is the subject of the sentence

The subject is doing the action and is active

Therefore it is an active voice sentence.

 

But in the second sentence;

 

Quick access has been provided to any kind of information for internet users by the internet search engines

 

 

It is the action and the receiver of the action which is important in that situation because the sentence speaks about the receiver of the action

Quick access

Therefore we make the receiver the subject

 But in this sentence the subject doesn’t do any action and it is passive.

Therefore it is a passive voice sentence.
